Turcan's "The Student" among Lilies

36 x 48" inches, 2005
oil on canvas

SOLD

An oil painting of
The Student, a marble sculpture
by 19th century French artist Jean Turcan. Now
located on a little island surrounded by a lily pond,
in "The Village at Winona." The statue had been
originally purchased in Paris by H. J. Heinz
(Pittsburgh, PA) and presented to The Assembly of
Winona in the early 1900s. I captured this view prior
to the landscaping that removed the lilies replacing
them with a small black iron fence.

Now on display at the 1000 Park Ave. Baking
Company Cafe in The Village at Winona, Winona
Lake, Indiana.

Currently I am  reviewing requests for commissions
and site-specific projects of such scenes.  Please
contact me for information.
